Reddit is the perfect platform for OnlyFans promotions. As well as being NSFW, Reddit is conveniently categorised.

Love cats? The r/cats community is the one for you.

Coffee enthusiast? Head to r/coffee.

Want to promote your OnlyFans profile to buyers who are browsing your specific features and fetishes?

Create a Reddit account and join relevant subreddits!

Creating an account is simple and shouldn’t take you more than a couple of minutes.

If you’re unsure which subreddits to join, I’ve included over 300 NSWF communities in the (free) cheat sheet above.

3 Reasons NOT To Rush Into Reddit

As tempted as you may be to begin posting, doing so wouldn’t be the wisest idea, for a few reasons.

1. You won’t be able to post Reddit frequently, at least not right away.

Reddit’s attempt to combat spam entails limiting your interactions while your account is new.

One way to gain trust and authority is to gain karma.

More about that in a bit.

2. While sex workers are welcome on Reddit, most subreddits (even the NSFW ones) do not allow links and you can’t say things like ‘subscribe to my OnlyFans.’

I’ll share how you can get around this in a moment.

3. Reddit moderators make the rules. Each community has it’s own rules, which you’ll need to read before you proceed.

Some even require users to verify their identities.

Serious stuff.

You really can’t rush into Reddit so you may as well take your time.

If you don’t have time right now, do yourself a favour and save this guide somewhere safe.

How To Optimise Your Reddit Profile For OnlyFans Promotions

Once you’ve created your Reddit account and verified via email, head to your settings.

Skipping this step will result in spam, scams and time wasters.

You’ll also be much more likely to succeed if you pay attention to details.

This won’t take you too long, I promise!

Display name
Your username and display name do not need to be the same but now would be a good time to reaffirm your brand identity.

Otherwise, describe yourself. Eg. The shy girl next door.

This approach also works well.

About
Your about section is optional. You can leave it blank if you want, though I wouldn’t recommend doing so.

Now would be a good time to tell potential followers a little bit about yourself.

Believe it or not, users browsing NSFW niches aren’t only interested in sex!

There’s a plethora of free porn available on public platforms.

OnlyFans creators stand out because we seem more real.

Or, rather, we seem more real when we humanise the digital experience by providing more than just a 2D sexualised, online image.

Social links (5 max)
It wasn’t all that long ago when Reddit refused to allow linking to anything at all in our bios.

We’re spoiled nowadays that Reddit is finally catching up with bio links, even if we are limited to a maximum of five.

If there’s one other platform worth posting to alongside Reddit, it’s Twitter.

Running a Twitter alongside your Reddit will maximise your exposure as you’ll be visible in your follower’s followers feeds if/when they interact with your Twitter posts.

At the very least, you’ll be in their following list, which does more than you may imagine.

Avatar
Another relatively new feature are avatars.

If you woo someone enough, they might award you with fancy features for your avatar.

If not, you can style yours with limited free features.

NSFW
Be sure to indicate whether or not your posts are safe for work.

19+ posts will be blurred and users will need to click to view them, whereas safe for work posts appear in feeds.

Allow people to follow you
Do I really need to tell you to enable this feature?!

Your followers will be able to see your posts in their feeds, whereas anyone who isn’t following you will only see you in subreddits they’re lurking in.

Safety & privacy
I strongly suggest using two-factor authentication and I don’t suppose I need to state why.

Notifications

Choose which activities you’d like to be notified of. 

Personally, I prefer not to be bombarded.

Chat & Messaging
If there’s one setting worth turning off, it’s chats and messages.

Time is money and there are a lot of time wasters who will expect freebies, as well as scammers who insist they’re agents and/or sugar daddies.

These men probably live in their mother’s basements, let’s be real.

You do not need an agent as a new creator. Believe me, you can manage this on your own.

As for sugar daddies, if someone is actually interested in seeing more of your content, they know where to find it so do yourself a favour and turn off your chats and messages.

Don’t fall for false promises and do not send anything for free, not even feet pics.

Create an Imgur account

Some subreddits don’t allow direct media uploads.

Not to worry.

You can just upload your images to Imgur and share a link.

One thing worth noting is that deleting a Reddit post does not delete your media from Imgur so remember to remove it from both platforms if you no longer want it out there.

 Favourite and join relevant subreddits

Now for the fun part!

After optimising your profile and settings, reference your Reddit cheat sheet to find, favourite and join relevant subreddits.

Remember to make sure to read the rules before posting!

If you don’t have enough karma to post to your preferred subreddits, you’ll need to gain some.

The easiest and fastest way to gain karma is to interact in popular subreddits, even if they’re safe for work and unrelated to your niche.

Post 8-10 times per day

To maximise your marketing efforts, aim to post ten promos per day.

This may seem like too much to manage but it’s actually fairly easy if you recycle content.

Recycling the same photos in different subreddits is okay but you won’t always get away with sharing the same photo to the same subreddit over and over again.

Again, read the rules of each subreddit!

How To Increase OnlyFans Conversions On Reddit

One of the worst Reddit marketing mistakes you can make is showing too much for free.

If you give it all away on a public platform, your followers have little incentive to subscribe to your OnlyFans.

Or, why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?

Increase conversions by keeping your clothes on in your public promotions.

Okay, maybe not clothes clothes but lingerie, bikini and implied nude selfies are your best friends.

Show them the tip of the iceberg.

Everything beneath the surface should have a price tag and they’ll need to pass your profile’s paywall to take a peek.

While many creators post full nudity, and even pornography, you’ll stand out more if you show less.

I know it seems strange but it’s true. I’ve seen it so many times.

Engage with your free followers

Hopefully you took my advice and turned off your chats and messages.

Make no mistake, I didn’t mean to say you should ignore your Reddit followers.

Do not ignore public Reddit interactions.

I highly recommend replying to every public comment.

Doing so will not only foster a strong sense of community, engagement on your posts will increase exposure.

Pin a post or two to your profile

Invite your audience to get to know you by pinning an AMA (ask me anything) to the top of your profile.

Remember, just because they can ask anything, doesn’t mean you owe anyone answers to questions you’d rather not respond to.

Respect your boundaries and don’t bypass them to appease internet strangers.

Taking your Reddit content to the next level

Put your phone down, step away from your stained bedroom mirror and clean up that mess!

Your photos should feel inviting, not lazy.

You don’t need to invest in top of the range camera equipment but investing in a ring light light would be wise.

Posting At Optimal Times

There’s little sense in posting to an empty community.

One of my favourite features on Reddit is that we’re able to see how many users are online.

When you’re new to a subreddit, it would be worth checking in every couple of hours to see when the traffic peaks.

Jot down the best times to post and pencil them in to your schedule.

For the most part, you’ll probably find users are US and UK based.

Unfortunately, your preferred time to post may not be the best if the community is based at the other side of the world.

Get as close to it as you can without compromising your sleep.

Don’t put all your eggs in one basket

Diversify.

Consider creating a discord community to keep in touch with your fanbase.

Remember, rapport is power.

Your free followers aren’t all going to subscribe to your OnlyFans, but you massively increase your chances by creating a tight knit community.

This is why I recommend Twitter alongside Reddit.

Avoid Being Banned

You can’t be unbanned if break rules so it’s best to just avoid being banned!

Don’t beat yourself up if you’re kicked from a subreddit by a tyrannical moderator.

They exist and I don’t know why they’re so unreasonable at times but my guess is they have nothing going on in their life and asserting power is a form of compensation.

r/snowwhites is bad for this behaviour.

If you’re banned from a subreddit, it won’t affect the overall health of your account so just carry on.

There are plenty of reasonable subreddit moderators out there who are happy to have you in their communities.

However, you won’t be as lucky if Reddit kick you and you’ll have to start from scratch so be serious about sticking to the rules.

Connect with other creators

Subreddits such as r/onlyfansadvice are great for connecting with other creators, though you should probably create a new account to interact there.

Otherwise, you’ll break the fourth wall and your followers will become disillusioned.

A magician never reveals their secrets!

It’s not about deception but showmanship. Your adult alter ego is a front, a performance.

Your audience don’t want or need to know about difficulties you’re facing behind the scenes.

See it as being back stage with your peers.

Pay attention to where you do well

You’re bound to do better in some subreddits over others.

Use this to your advantage and don’t be discouraged if you don’t do as well as you’d hoped.

Too many creators try to post to communities for big boobs, despite having B cups.

If everyone else there is DD+, you really don’t belong there.

Pink fluffy handcuffs don’t count as bondage so don’t be surprised if your promos flop in r/BDSM.

You need to post where you fit in.

I’m sure you’ll find a good fit if you keep trying!

Don’t shy away from smaller subreddits

Less members doesn’t necessarily mean less exposure.

You’re better off catering to a smaller, more niche community than landing at the bottom of the feed in bigger subreddits.

If anything, it’s easier to get noticed in smaller subreddits.

Stick with what works

Pay attention to your highest performing posts.

You can navigate to your popular posts on your profile by selecting hot/new/top.

Consider why your best posts did well.

Was it the community, caption, pose, facial expression or outfit choice?

The only way to find out is to replicate it and see if you get similar results.

Try and try again.

Mix it up

While this may seem contradictory to my last tip, mix it up.

Doing more of what works will do you good for a while but you can’t keep doing the same thing over and over again.

Your audience will tire of it.

Be sure to switch things up every now and then to test something new.

Variety leads to vitality.

Just don’t stray too far from what seems to be working.

Consider why your best posts did well.

Was it the community, caption, pose, facial expression or outfit choice?

The only way to find out is to replicate it and see if you get similar results.

Try and try again.
